NiJun to SG!

Nijun came on the 6Aug to sg with her sister from TW! Kangren was planning smth big for her birthday which is on the 8th aug. So I helped him to be part of the plan a little. Went to shop for her clothes and dump everything at my house. On the day itself, NiJun came to my house for a doll up and off she goes with the man. haha!

So when Nijun is having dinner with Kangren, know where the sister go? I babysit the sister! haha. Brought her sis to bugis walk walk see see look look till the couple are done then met up at Kangren's place for a cake cutting session.

Pictures on National day!

Yea, went sungei buloh on national day when people are happily preparing and celebrating national day.

I was having plans after this so I am so off-dressed to go for hiking. haha! And nice hair colour??

Sleepyhead. My camera phone does not have the zoom function. So can you imagine how near am I to it?

Lunched at bollywood. I did a post on bollywood before so wont talk much about it. And this is Great Danes! Yea, his name is Great Danes , funny huh, and he is huge!!!

we missed the milking session. Those goats look weak and lazy~! And I bought a drink from the goat farm---- Pokka Green Tea! haha. Dont dare to drink goat milk. Spent about 10 mins there and moved on to frog farm.

A day of fun!

Woke up like so early in the morning to go sungei buloh! Located at kraji area, dont ask me why I went there. Cause mom and brother just too free to stay at home on National day!

Besides sungei buloh, visited the goat farm, frog farm, koi farm, aeroponic farm, bollywood etc etc! After all the visiting, went to catch inception finally! It has been full house almost everywhere and everyday ever since the movie is out!

Inception is not bad, at least I understand and didnt fall asleep. haha!! Sometimes you do feel like the situation in inception. Even after I watch the movie, I was still wondering if I am in reality or not. haha!

Anyway, will be meeting apple baby tml! Will do meet ups soon! =)

Why people deserve a second chance?

There is a saying, " Opportunity comes only once." Well, no doubt this statement is true, but people always deserve a second chance thou. Maybe the same opportunity doesnt comes anymore, but at least people deserve a second chance to take up another opportunity.

But of course, it all depends on what kind of opportunity is that. Be it a academic/business/friendship/social opportunity, people do have a choice and of coz have a chance to seize back the opportunity. So dont give up!!

On the other hand, think on the brighter side. Maybe if you miss this opportunity, there is another better one coming up? And to the superior/mentors etc, when your "little" ones dont take up the opportunity, sometimes its not that they do not want them, but merely afraid not being able to meet the expectations. Its stress ok! Maybe people are not ready but that doesnt mean that they cant do it! You may say that its life yada yada, but I'm sure you'll want your trusted ones to make you proud too right? Time is simply the factor, but bottomline- They still deserve a second chance!

So if you ask me, I'll tell you- "opportunity comes only once" is not a wise statement at all! Prove me wrong.

Accompanied Pris on one of the days to MBS for applying a job. First time there and I seriously have no idea how to go there!! Took MRT to City hall, walk to esplanade and to MBS. Call me stupid but I seriously dunno a shorter way to there man! haha!

If you ask me, I still prefer resorts world to MBS leh. MBS looks quite empty. Maybe after when they're fully open then it will be nicer?? Cause now its only their hotel, casino and conference rooms are at used. The rest are not yet available.

Lasik Surgery

Straight after the marathon, the next day I am experiencing cool muscleache. What's more cool is for me to go for surgery the day after.

donate your old specs for needy! I didnt donate mine thou. haha!

The whole process is actually quite fast. First after registration, they'll bring you for a series of eye test. The tests are all so cool lah. Its not like those where you go get your eye check from the optometrist. Besides your degree and astig, they checked your cornea thickness, eye pressure, pupils dilation yada yada. After that, you'll be sent for consultation. Consultation includes telling you all the risk, procedure, pre and post surgery care etc.

After all test, they'll bring you to see your handsome doctor. You can choose your doctor and of course I chose the more handsome one. haha! Mine is a handsome mixed doctor. awwww. Ok, after he says, " yes, your eyes are healthy and therefore suitable for the surgery", you can just proceed. But of course, he'll explain which surgery is suitable for your eyes as well. For me, I cant do the normal lasik as my astig is higher than normal. So I have to go for the wavefront intralase ilasik. Which of coz, cost more. But if your astig is lesser than 200, your surgery will be cheaper than mine by half!

Before surgery, you're asked to watch a video about your surgery procedure and all the possible side effects that you'll experience and the difference between all the surgery.

O ya, before that, they test your pupils dilation. And usually our pupils dont dilate under light. So the nurse apply some magical liquid to dilate your pupils. So after your pupils dilate, this is how it looks like:

Can see?? But having a dilated pupils under light, your vision is blur. And it'll take about 4-6hrs for the pupils to constrict back to normal! So for that 4-6hrs, my vision is seriously so irritating.

Getting into the surgery room:

So this is the preparation room for you to relax urself plus preparing for the surgery.

Felt so nervous thou people say its nothing. Plus its cold in there.

Shitted in the toilet before going for surgery. hahaha!!

After awhile, the nurse comes in and explain all the medication you have to take and help you put on your surgical gown.

I'm so ready to go in now! The person beside me was so excited that she called her friends telling her how cool it is to be at the preparation room. And she keeps telling people that she is going on a labour and now is waiting for her turn to give birth. -.-

After awhile, I'm called in and no pictures taken after that. Entered the surgery room with lotsa huge machine. And my handsome doctor is there waiting for me. haha! They inserted lotsa stuff on my eyes man. Plus sticking some "masking tape" like stuff to prevent my eye lashes from getting into the way. After they peel off the tape, I wonder if I have any eye lashes left!

Procedure:

They started by cutting a cornea flap then the laser comes in and they put the flap back to its original place. and Tadah! Surgery done for 1 eye. Repeat step for the other side and you are done! Just 10mins and you feel the difference.

After surgery, I look like just got punched in the eye.

and putting on the eye patch! Look like ultra-woman.

swallon eyes! And I cant open my eyes cause its abit painful after the anesthetic wears off. But tolerable.

Apple baby and baby came to visit me. I remembered taking the sleeping pills but its not helping me to sleep at all! But according to apple baby, I talked alot of nonsense and do alot stupid things! And I dont even remember doing all these!!

Dont ask me what I'm doing cause I dont even know!

Day2

Next morning, I look damn ugly. I looked like that I've gone for double eye lid surgery more than lasik!!

Ugly pic! But that is roughly how the eye look like the next morning after the swelling has gone. But I just woke up, so the just-wake-up look is there.

Eye medication.

Eye shield, lid care to wipe the eyes, antibiotics and 11 boxes of eye lubricant. First look at the medication, it feels like hamper to me sia. Where got people's post surgery care so many one! haha.

Drove to the clinic for a review on the surgery if my flap is nicely closed back in the afternoon!

act cool only huh! But I have to put shades on for a while. Eye sight is 70% recovery after surgery and after 10 days, it'll be 90% recovery. So right now, my vision is like glasses with thumbprint on it. Abit smoky, but still can see. =)

What's more that I'm going to have exams tomorrow! should I go for exams?? haha!

Having some prob with uploading pics, shall try uploading again tml.

Are you having problems with buying tickets for recent movies? Cause it has been always full! And when you feel like watching it after some time, the movie is not showing anymore! Now to prevent this, you can simply go to kallang leisure park to watch. No queue, sit's comfy, food's ok. At least the seats is more spacious than gv's. If you have not try the cinema, maybe you should try at least once.

At least, its one of the way to prevent disappointment in getting movie tickets! Kallang leisure park's movie is under file garde. So there's no promotion in ticket discount. But its $10bucks on week ends. Worth a try for once.

Caught toy story 3 finally at KLP since I cant get good seats from gv or cathay. Toy story 3 is funny and touching, you should just go watch it man!! =DD Caught old cow vs tender grass, still ok, not very fantastic.

Ran shape run 10km with crazy woman this morning! We're supposed to reach at the starting point at 7am but was late for 30mins. haha!! But we still managed to finish the race! Got a feeling that I will feel fantastic muscleache the next day!

My mistake! Stay was at Hotel Micheals instead of Hard Rock.

Will upload pictures tomorrow cause busy studying. You know, I'm seldom that hardworking ok. haha! Thou the lift and corridor looks absolutely ugly to me, sorry to say that, but the room is awesome! Maybe I just dont like the theme. Maybe shall get the hard rock one next time. So can compare.

Rumours spread in my work place that today is my last day of work. Lao Huang bought me chocolates! Thou its not my last day of work. It'll be Ai's last day of work tomorrow instead. My last day will be like end of this month??

So not motivated to work today but everything is well taken care of, and new staffs are coming in! So good luck to them also. haha. Just 2 months of work and a compliment letter received. nice~! But too bad I'll be leaving soon. Time flies huh. haha! By then maybe I'll get another job.

Having exams tomorrow! And I started studying like 1 week ago? But I still feel the same. Feel so insecure and unprepared. haiz. Good luck to me anyway.

These few days will not be an easy day for me since I have a few emtional stuffs to handle. O wells, everyone is going thru tt phase too. Even in work area. But I will be fine, not taking things to heart. I was kept in the dark for certain things but when you got to know it, it just hit you. Anyway, its just part of life.

This sat may be staying at sentosa so wont be home. Got a free stay in Hard Rock Hotel if I'm not wrong. Shall see how fantastic is the hotel.

I was so pissed. Really. With different people. And pardon me for this few days. Just let me blast. If there is anything that anyone wants to look for me, sms me. Dont call me. Else i dunno how I'll react to phone calls. Plus, I may or may not pay attention to what people is talking to me over the phone.

Drop that. Anyway, went to catch movies this few days thou exams are like coming. Ip Man- the legend is born, Knight and day, Karate kid.

For Ip Man- the legend is born, if you wan to see lotsa fighting scenes then maybe its lesser than the Ip man and Ip man 2. The legend have more talking than fighting. haha! Long beginning but short ending. O well, afterall we will still get the whole picture about Ip Man's past.

For Knight and day, forget about watching. Thou Tom Cruise is the main lead, but the show is not nice. I didnt slp throughout the show, but its just not my style of movie.

For Karate Kid, its a must watch. Jaden Smith is just a true talent. Just like his dad, Will Smith. But the show really will motivate someone in someways. And Jaden is so cute and innocent. haha! Being 12 this year, he alr kissed a girl in the show. Waoh, what was I doing when I was 12? hahaha!

Aiming 2 more other shows, will catch it someday.

It has been that llooooonnnnggg already. Thought I may have to juggle alot of things, but this stress is killing me in within. I do not want to give up cause that's the day where I let go of everything. Seeing or hearing every negative comments make me not know what to do.

I've tried my best for what I can. I am also trying very hard to make myself feel happier. I'm trying to be optimistic while you're trying to pull me down. I was on my way home today and I overheard a girl asking a guy friend ( who has a girlfriend overseas): When a relationship gets longer, is it still love or just that both are so used to one another? Apple baby asked me the same question today as well.

The duration of the relationship doesnt determine how strong is the relationship. I'm at the peak of the ice berg and I think I can see titanic coming. haha! What a description. On the other hand, what a coincidence timing to feel it in this way! Maybe its a different way how different people express their feelings but I feel so useless sometimes.

Seeing you upset/stressed/depressed really put me in dilemma sometimes on what I should or can do. Maybe its unfair for me to say this, but maybe one day, people will understand how I feel. Its so rare for me to write it up on blog about my relationship but yea, I'll just treat it as a form of expressing my feelings when I dunno where to start talking from.

People at work has been asking if I'm ok cause I seems dull. Am I really not ok?? This is the 2nd day where people asked me why I looked so troubled. Is it even that obvious?? I can say that I'm not much affected, but am I lying?? The conversations even seems and feel different over time. The way of being treated also differs. Is it me? Maybe I will have to learn to be more patient.

Hopefully this is a test and I'll passed it with flying colours.

Long time since I visited this space. In future this space will be abandon more often.

It has been about 2 months(?) since I started to occupy most of my time. This 2 months is not easy I must say, but this 2 months make me learn alot of things. The people I've met, the things that I'm going throught as well as the time that I have to juggle about. More commitments and neglectants. At the end of the day, its only one question: Why do you work so hard.

Saw the most expensive dimsum buffet you can ever find! $88++ per person for a dimsum buffet. Their dimsum really made of gold! Mom was curious of how nice their dimsum can be. But of course, we didnt go for their buffet. Its too ex for a dimsum meal.

Instead, we ordered ala carte since we know that it wouldnt be worth for us to eat $88 bucks worth of dimsum!

Toilets!!!

Do you squat facing the wall or the door??

Ok, so I'm doing it wrongly all this while. hahahaha!! But who cares!! I was quite surprise that actually angmohs are quite fascinated over squat toilets and they do not know how to use them. Dont believe, go to youtube and type "how to use a squat toilet".

You'll be surprise to even see comments like this:

I can see the fight now~

Marina Bay Sands IR experienced multiple black outs barely are 2 weeks of opening. Not only that, after the helix bridge is open for service, the next day a China worker committed suicide under the bridge. Things may not be smooth for MBS. There's people complaining about the design, rooms quality expectation or even the failure to deliver on its promise to provide an "unmatched guest experience". And for that, their first client Inter-Pacific Bar Association lodged an official complaint.

MBS also tried to "pull" customers from the Resort World IR by upgrading any membership that any guest have. For instance, you can exchange a silver RWS membership card to a gold MBS membership card. And from a gold RWS membership card to a platinum MBS membership card etc. Are things gonna work out? Cause these "fight" and "happenings" have been on the headlines ever since MBS is launched.

Another one will be between Singtel and Starhub for the sports channel. Although Singtel will take over the sports channel, many viewers are upset about the price to watch their favourite football game. The channel cost $70.62. But for a stater pack to begin with, you need to pay about $120+? I cant remember the figure but its within that range. And mind you, this is for the early bird. Of which once the promotion is over, be prepared to pay an outstanding value of $170+.

Starter pack includes the control and the miotv box plus installation yada yada. Unless you return the box and control at the end, there will not be a waiver of $50+ for the installation. Back then when using Starhub, none of this problems was arised.

On that day I think like Friday? Yeah Friday! I guess I didnt have enough sleep and I was a bit sot in the mind? I did a good deed to be a morning caller!! =D

I called a number of people to wake up to pee in the morning! The earliest call I made was 6.45am! And the lucky person is no other than my apple baby! haha! It was damn funny because she thought she was dreaming and that she really check her phone to confirm if it was a real call. Of all the calls I've made, Meige is a smart assclown! She just off her phone! Bloody hell.

Kexin, Shirley and Crazy woman are the deep sleeper where their ears dont work during their sleep! So if there's a fire outside their neighbour's house and them shouting HELP!!!!!! They'll just die thanks to the deep sleepers like them! On the other hand, Kexin also quite smart to put it in no sound, no vibration mode. Smart eh? This must be a very good reason to avoid morning disturbers like ME! But if she's late for school and someone just call to give her morning call, the friend will just go crazy and die after 100 miss calls!

Crazy woman is someone who have thick skin. Thou put in silent mode but cant feel vibration! Shirley even better. Dunno is put silent or got sound. Just no answer and reply only. Lagi best! Champion lah she.

Woah, how long have I abandon this space?

haha! This is one cool thing that you MUST save it in your phone man!

I know it may seem ridiculous to have taxi booking numbers in your phone when there's like tons of taxis around anywhere and everywhere. But let me tell you this! You dont dig a hole last min when you need to shit. It happens all the time to everyone!

Like you think that certain things wont happen and that you dont have to do it. Or rather can procasinate to do it. And for one GOOD reason to have it in your phone is just simply this: Ever late for something important and there's no sight or appearance of a single taxi? " WHERE ARE ALL THE TAXIS!!" And then when you are early for work/school, the taxis somewhat outnumbered the buses! -.- Get what I mean??

No doubt taxis is ex and you wont take it often, but yet again you dont dig a hole last min. And one fantastic reason is because of the wonderful queues at taxi stands and the awesome-ness when some lightning speed lady suddenly appeared in front of you and snatched your taxi! I dont know if you ever experienced that but I was freaking pissed with a lightning lady, or rather ladies! who snatched like 3 of my taxis??

Yea, now I got this saver baby in my phone, I dont care how many million lightning ladies are there, I still get my cabby when I seriously need one.

Do you know that the "genuine" laksa actually dont serve with chopsticks? Of course if you ask 10 stalls selling laksa, they'll tell you that they're the "real" katong laksa! Who doesnt? Every where also katong laksa but which is the "real" one?

But neeways, each and every stall will have their own story behind it. Who cares whether its real or fake or imitation or whatsoever. So long as I ate it, I love it!

Reasons why laksa is served without chopsticks is because it is meant to be eaten with the soup. And the noodles are cut in a way where its easy to eat with a spoon. Ya, now you know!

Met my crazy woman for a movie "The last song" at the cathay on friday! Before show, lunch at the usual basement area. Cant remb the shop name!

The show the last song is an awesome one! Made me almost teared. The tears are like swimming on the surface of my eyeballs but not yet down the cheeks. Really atouching show and reflects much about life. Same to the show " The back up plan". The back-up plans really speaks for the guys mind and girls mind about what they really are. Girls are unreasonable at times, I dont deny that. But if it wasnt for the guy, will girls be unreasonable? haha! Ok, I'm not trying to be bias here, but the show speaks for both genders and about how man is so unhappy with girls sometimes.

However, the content of the show is not about that. To know more about back up plan, go read the review and watch the show. haha!! For the last song, its slightly different. Not between females and males but between relationships with family/friends etc. =D Nowadays got alot of nice shows huh? haha!!

Facts that you dunno!

Know how a laywer robe looks like? It black, yea we all know that! But notice a hood behind the robe? Whats the story behind it?

It was once used as a "money collector" in the olden days. People back then wasnt rich enough to hire lawyers. However, lawyers still fight cases for them to bring them justice ( which I think its bullshit for now). And if people thinks that the lawyer is doing a good job, they'll put money behind his robe.

This also meant that they pay him without him looking who and how much is given. Reason being, they do not want the people to think that justice can be bought over with money. So payment should be done behind his back. In this century, lawyers are different from the past. And playing a court game is meant for the rich. And now, who would believe in justice when law doesnt have a right or a wrong answer so long as you are strong with your language and arguement?

Smart me!

Mother's Day was a very simple meal together. Cause everywhere will be pack and crowded, so we decided to settle at chinatown hawker center instead. The hawker center have more than 200 stalls! Like serious only! All the best food can be found there!

and its very cheap. haha! We billed off at $36! Simple and nice!

Went JB today afternoon after school with mom.

nothing much actually. Went to JB for an emergency.

Look at the mixed veg rice in malaysia. The difference between in Malaysia and Singapore is that in Malaysia, you help yourself with the dishes then pay. In Singapore, they take for you and you pay. haha!

But we didnt eat that. Ate abalone noodle instead. Dont wah on the abalone. A bowl of noodle cost about $3 only. Not $30. haha!

and gree tea:

Green tea with a halal sign! Does singapore's green tea have a halal sign too? Drank it almost everyday but didnt notice it! And does the singapore ones have japanese words on it? Nvm, I'll find out! haha.

Went to work today after coming back from jb. Didnt bring all my working stuff! And if I were to go back home and take a train to town, I'll be late for work! Luckily, I'm smart! *ahem*! haha. I was given 3 locker keys in a bunch. I was so bored one day that I separated all the 3 keys in different areas in my bag. And it happen that I didnt bring that same bag today! So shyt lah! My locker key is not with me.

But lucky I hang one of my locker keys with my house key. haha!! So I'm still safe! No locker key= no uniform+stockings+shoes= die. So conclusion is that: Dont ever put all the eggs in the same basket!

Today saw a newcomer! So I have a partner now. But we're of different shifts, so I only got to see her for awhile. Mix chinese jap. Nice~ =)

Gotta learn to sleep early now cause it'll be waking at 5.45am or 6am from now on! =(

Secret Recipe!

Mom and I was thinking what to eat for lunch cause she's looking into soup of the day with bread. So wanted to go cafe cartel but ended up at secret recipe. Neeways I think mom wont ever go back there again. haha!!

tt's her grill chicken and its not even warm. And since this is cooked quite awhile ago, they simply have to just reheat it. Anyway she didnt even manage half of it and gave up.

moi chicken. Then mom start commenting loads of it on the chicken. Saying that the colour of the chicken proves that its has been re-fried yada yada. And I didnt finish it as well. So wasted.

Work today was interesting cause one of the kid release her helium balloon up to the ceiling. And the daddy expects us to get it back for her. Wow. How? And we cant say no sir, its not possible. Even though we knew that its not possible, we still gotta act like we can! haha. But still didnt manage lah. Luckily the kid didnt cry else I would have to walk all the way to taka to get an extra balloon for her!

Saw the princess of Brunei together with her body guards. But trust me, we wouldnt know which is her. Cause they're all dressed like anyone of us and the body guards are like part of her family. I thought they were a family on holiday till the security told me that she is the princess of brunei. haha!

When dad's back in sing, its like a "sure-thing" to have high tea buffet. Since its too last min to book westin, we went to Marriott hotel instead.

The high tea is more expensive than westin and not that fantastic. Its about $46+ per person. Not going there again. I went there to had watermelons and brother told me that he could buy me lots of watermelon with $46. haha!!

Went for a uniform fitting from RP hotel. I was dressed like in singlet and shorts plus a blazer over. Cause for uniform fitting, I wouldnt wanna dress in jeans cause it'll be so troublesome to take in and out!

the "uniform area". Ranging from cleaner's to chef's to manager's uniform. All in that area! One thing about working in the hotel is that they wash your uniform for you. So what happens is that if you want to get your uniform washed, simply dropped it at the laundry area and they'll wash and iron for you.

After which, they'll hang in back in sequence like what the picture above shows. Each uniform has a number so you just got to remember your own number. =)

Now comes the fantastic thing. I was dressed in shorts and singlet, and at the last min, I was told to meet the director. nice! And my hair is so messy. OMG. And he gave me a stern face and keep questioning me. haha! The first thing he asked me wasnt my name, but my address. Cause it happens that he stay just behind my house! Neeways, he was still ok despite not smiling throughout. Phew!!

On friday afternoon went lunch with parents and grandparents to pu tien de PP.

First day of work!

First day of work, dunno is good or suay. haha! Was smsing crazy woman throughout the whole journey to town. I left my house an hour earlier but was almost late for work! Took the mrt from simei and it stopped like almost every station.

I was taking in the direction towards town but the lights of directions in the train shows towards Pasir Ris. So how nice! By the time the train reaches kallang, the light shows Eunos. And it stopped for quite a while till the MRT captain explained over the mic.

Was supposed to reach at 5.45pm but reached at 6pm. haha! And the first person I saw was---- the director. Luckily he wasnt angry instead asked me about the MRT which I have explained to the HR earlier on when they called.

Ok, back to the nicole part. The director thought that Yunqi is abit difficult to pronounce. And most of the staff do have an English name. Of which, he asked me to pick an English name to be called. Plus, I wasnt issued a name tag earlier on. So he called the HR and get me to go get the name tag from them.

Once reached, the HR show me 4 names to choose from : Ivy, Michelle, Stella and of coz, Nicole. Of all, Nicole sounds the most ok to me, so I just pick the name lor. Then the director says that from now on, I'll be known as Nicole. Got such things? And guess what, some of the staff's name shown on the name tag might not be their real names as well. Except for the permenant ones.

And also cause I'm not a permenant stuff over there, they wouldnt want to waste money to print my name on the name tag. $20 per name tag man! So I have to use the names left from the previous staffs. If I can choose, of coz I will choose none lah! Who knows I might like Maria if they have. haha!

Toured around the hotel for some understanding as well as all the staff working in the lobby. Nice and friendly people. MEIGE! GUESS WHO I SAW?! I saw Jasmine from tpco. She's working in the same hotel as a front desk receptiontist. So coincident! =D

Work for today was ok. Hope everyday will also be an ok day like today. Except for the late part. haha!

Brother got his license today!!! Congratz to him. Passed with 10 points on first. So he picked me up from Tampines interchange when I knocked off.

Iron Man 2!

Ok back to iron man 2. Dad's back yesterday so went to catch the movie yesterday. Comparing Ip Man 2 to Iron Man, I thought I would prefer Ip Man 2. But when I heard that we're watching iron man, I was like, " shit, I'm gonna fall aslp again."

Throughout the show I was soooooo awake! I was like preparing for more actions and more violence for the show. But haiz, disappointing. Action was only like at the last part for about 15-20mins but the rest of the time was talking and talking. BUT! I still didnt fall asleep. So I think still not so bad?

But brother and dad say that part 1 was nicer. I even saw my friend posting on fb that she fell asleep in iron man! haha. Aiya, but if you have catch part 1, then maybe you'll also catch part 2 be it nice or not.

Went to town with mama cause I'll be going for an interview with Royal Plaza on scotts. And we have to shop for cousin's 21st birthday gift! So we lunched at Bakerzin de paragon.

They have got very cool menu!! They changed they concept to a magazine style menu.

We decided to have their set lunch instead.

fillet pasta. That piece of fillet, dont taste nice! It taste like fried carrot cake!!! It just looks nice only. Since their fish is fried with an egg outering, it not only looks like carrot cake, it also taste like carrot cake!

Not very fantastic lunch. haha!

Mama went to shop for her skin care products and came by Estee Lauder. So she decided on her items and she got this for free!!

lipstick, wrinkle lifting serum, anti line/ wrinkle eye cream, Line and wrinkle reducing cream, mascara. The last 2 product are samples that she asked for-- lifting cream. And lastly it came with a Estee Lauder make up case.

There is no min purchase, but the sales girl didnt mention why is that for free. So I guess that its because of mother's day then she's giving all this to all the mamas. But you can always go to the counter and see what she says!

On purchase of Estee Lauder products, they give free make over too! Since mama dont wan to have her face drawn, she get the sales girl to draw mine. -.-

Like not much difference right? haha!

When we're leaving town, I suddenly remembered that we have to buy cousin's present! SEE! mama forgot everything about it. She only remember to buy her stuff. Went TnC to look for key-like pendent but mama dont really like it. She traditional lah. TnC is too "in" for her.

So I tell her no Poh Heng pls. End up settle at SK with a golden key and white gold heart pendent.

Back to the interview thingy. I went to their office and I bumped into a chef for the hotel. Since the office is not yet open, he brought me around to their stuff canteen which is like underground! Saw all their housekeeping stuff below as well.

After a short talk, I went for the interview. Even the duty manager who interviewed me is so funny. haha! After my interview, I bumped into the restaurant manager. So I asked him how do I get my way outta here, he (a sissy) says" Aww, follow me, I'll bring you upstairs"------- Walking and swinging his butt to and fro. I was trying not to laugh!

So he stopped me at the security and he went off. After exchanging my pass, I wanted to walk out but its raining soooo heavily! There're also a few staff outside, stuck in the rain. So I told them that its ok, I'll just walk in the rain.

" NO,No,no, you just walk inside, then turn left you'll see the lobby. At least dont have to walk in the rain." They're seriously nice people! Even if I'm not working there, they treated me like one. =) And I got accepted. So will be working next week onwards.

School's also accepted. So work and study will all commence next week.

Singapore, you got no choice now! wahahahahaha!!

Bouquet

Standard Charter Golf Day!

Was suppose to arrive at St james at 9am, so I woke up at 6.45am! Wow, when was the last time I woke up at that timing??!! Was so afraid that I overslept and even set 2 alarm clocks plus 2 morning calls. So definitely not gonna be late!

Was early and reached at 8.30am. After which when everyone reached, we all drove in to sentosa golf club.

buggy station. You actually need a Class 3 driving liscense to drive that buggy although its no where similar to a car. They're afraid that ppl will drive on the grass instead on the road. -.-

Did registration for the golfers and they're off to their plays. Once teeing off, they'll only be back 5hrs later. So for that 5 hrs was quite slack plus abit of the setting up of the prize presentation for the later part of the event.

actually there are 5 of us but the other 2 went to have a tour around the golf course in the buggy. It'll be my turn for the next event in may!

golfer's buffet dinner at $86per pax. But SCB paid for all. And we got to eat for free as well! hehe XD. My colleague was so pissed of at me. Cause the buffet serves smoke salmon, mussles, lotsa desserts, spaghetti, mushroom soup, chicken, prawns, chicken/mutton/beef satay etc but I only had mostly bread and mushroom soup.

The way how they look pissed off was so funny! They went for 3-4 serving and I went for 2. And everytime I came back with more bread and soup, they feel so angry cause they feel so bo hua for me. Esther and Shelia, both cousins, are so super funny! They're the most dramatic person I ever since while eating. On the first mouth of the delicious food, they close their eyes, squeal in goodness, clash their fist in satisfaction, shake their head a little and lick their lips in the most sexy and seductive way and then open their eyes in tears. OMG! DRAMATIC ANOT?!

Can you imagine how hard I laughed? I laughed till I almost got choked and my whole face turned red like a baboo's butt plus abit of stomach aching and I also teared. And they are the ones who say I'm the dramatic one! I laugh so damn loudly when there're still guest around and I almost got scolded for laughing like that. But I just couldnt control!

They're so happy for the food and they even told me they usually go buffet from 11 to 4pm. 1st to go, and last to leave, and that they have to dress like pregnant mommies so that their tummies dun bulge out after eating. Just too satisfied with the food. If I got a chance, I must snap a picture of them eating!

Event ended at 9pm but I got to leave vivo at around 9.40pm. Awarded myself with a box of mon cheri but I feel so cheated cause the wine inside was like dried up alr. haha! But its ok.

Rushed off to airport to send Dylan and Esther (different esther from the working event) off. Luckily was in time and get to say good bye. haha!

Felt so worth and made full used of my day from 6.45am till midnight. haha!

Life is so interesting

Life is interesting when at times it give you surprises be it good or bad. A series of things happen around me and I thought I would just post everything here. I would not wanna hear "why am i the last to know?", " Why didnt you tell me?! Its so serious!" or/and " I expected that you would tell me first."

You wouldnt expect me to go around telling people what I'm going thru, would you? I've posted up, you see it, you know it. You didnt read it, then dun ask me why didnt I tell you. Cause I simply think its not necessary to tell but to shut people's mouth about telling me how important they are to me and the NEED to tell them.

So what if I tell? What can you do? But anyway, I'm partly writing cause I myself dont feel justified for this case.

Mom's closing her shop, I believe I've told people who I feel I should. We received a lawyer letter against us for selling product with LV's registered trade mark.

To be exact:

This is the product. Air refreshner.

In the letter, its mentioned:

yes, a compensation of SGD$10,000

and a public apology in national paper's main page.

So how should the apology be written, the lawyer is efficient and kind enough to even give us a format and draft to follow ( in other ways, copy and paste on newspaper)

And they are demanding a quarter page of apology advertisment which will cost about another 10k?

So what I dont feel justified is that, my mom shop only has 4, F.O.U.R, cans of air refreshner with the LV trade mark. The above picture that you saw was bought from another shop selling like more than 10, T.E.N cans of it.

The supplier for the air refreshner is from Singapore.Come on, if the lawyer is after the money, wouldnt 10k be too little for them? Why not file a lawsuit against the other shops or even the supplier so that you can gain like millions from it?? It is simply nonsensicle just to fine a shop with only 4 cans. If they fine ALL shops selling the product including the supplier, then the penalty that we face could be better off for us, isnt it? FAIR WHAT!

But now, its not! My mom's shop is located at some ulu malu location and at a corner where its simply not easy to locate but yet we are so lucky to get such entertaining shock in life. Now its not the money or the face and ego that we are complaining. Dont you feel unfair?

The stocks came in on the 1st feb and we got the letter dated on 8th feb. Within 1 week, and they know when to fine us. Suspicious much? I dont care which creature out there wanna complaint about the trademark, anyway the shop is closing. And please, the shop is not closing cause of this issue. To that creature who wanted all this to happen, YEAH, YOU WON!

Dont be surprise to see the apology on the papers and start asking me if that's my parent's name and our shop on the papers. I'm telling you, YES IT IS. We dont need any publicity about our shop on the papers, but singaporeans are kpo enough to go all the way down to shop and see which is the suay one. And then what's next? They'll say, "aiyo, must be the lawsuit, then no face to face the public, so close down shop." Say whatever you want.

By arguing will never win. They're lawyers! The high class speakers ahead of anyone. Although I dislike people who abuse their athorities, sometimes lawyers cant afford to get their ego hurt. After the case is close, the compensation made, you'll see what is gonna happen next. Things are not gonna be let off easily.

I put my words ahead of yours. We'll see.

To friends who are concern,

I appreciate much and yes, although nothing can be done, but you can help by buying the can of air refreshner from ANY shop which is selling including the receipt and address of shop where you purchase written behind the receipt. Dont worry, we are NOT going to pull other people into our shit. We only need evidence that other shop is selling the same product. That's all.

How to train your dragon.

Although this is a cartoon animation which not many people would spent that amount in the cinemas, I thought the show was quite nice.

I feel so pek cek watching the show: why cant the dad understand his son?? Why he always looks down on his son?? HAHA!! You know that kinda feeling? I got sorta over-reacted while watching it, well but at least I dun feel like sleeping! Not a single bit!

Though the storyline is kinda expected, but parents seriously should go watch. You know sometimes your kids can do wonders and wow you? Instead of nagging and think that they're good for nothing. And the movie really shows you how differently you could have treat others with disgusting looks-- dragons. But of course, it applies to human nature. You just gotta understand them a little more.

And please, always give people a chance to explain before being so work up. Things are not always what you think it is. So stop being egoistic. haha!

Can you imagine how much values can this movie teach you?? So you better go watch!! =)

Its either the school gets to me or the job gets to me or I'll have to return back. Mom's right, even if I'm back in mal, I'll just die there. The only thing I like about there is the food! That's all. Sad enough huh? haha! Reaching 21 is a joyous moment for most of us but not for me.

21 is so scary. No work= no income tax, say bye bye to me. =)

I still have a few more months to worry till my 21st. By then I'll be separated from my dad's citizenship. Singapore, you better want me! HAHA!

Days past day by day. I'm worrying for you every minute without telling you. Seeing your frustration and saddness, I cant do anything. Seriously, I might afriad that you'll have any mental disorder. Things may not be small, but I presume as it is.

Things are very bad according to you, but I presume its not. Women are just so difficult to understand and simply too complicated. Right now, study is no longer important to me. Be it anot I got a change to study, it doesnt make any difference. And I'm also sick of waiting for school's reply and end up with rejections. C'mon, I'm not an A graded student, so its perfectly all right to reject like immediatly without browsing throught the transcript. Than waiting and hanging on with hopes and shine that any school would want a lousy student like me.

Cant work, cant study. Wow, who is there to admire such carefree life. And even if the school accepts, so what? With the current situation that I'm facing, even if the school accepts, I might have to terminate the offer. People live with choices in life but where's mine?

Do I have a choice of what I want to do? Do I have a choice of what I want to study? If you have been doing what you want and what you like, consider yourself lucky. This world is practical. No results, no job. That's it. You think people will pity you and give you a 2nd chance to excel? Dream on.

Now whether to work or to study, I have no say. Not a single bit of it. Everything is decided. When I see people with dreams, I envy you. Really do.

Foie gras

I heard that its nice? and its like a delicacy? But definitely not for me!

The foie gras is sandwished in between and this small liver cost like $16. I am not a liver kinda person, not even mentioning about pork liver. I tried on mouth of it, put it in my mouth, but before I could chew it, I spit it out. haha!

It'll melt in your tongue, and its so powdery! Issit even suppose to be like that? But neeways, gave it to my mom.

Btw, pandas are actually called 猫熊 . But because in the olden days, people are used to reading words backwards. So when people are used to call it 熊猫, they didnt wanna change to the original 猫熊. Hence the name 熊猫 is said and written instead. =)

Actually I have proven myself that I cared for you. I thought I might not feel the same as how we are in the past, but I realised I am consistently thinking about you. I texted you but although it may be a message that doesnt require a reply but somewhat, I really hope you did replied.

And when I didnt get a reply, I've been thinking hard. Ya, I am concern and I hope that things will be how it used to be. Seeing you being happy makes me feel your happiness when I thought you werent. But ya, maybe I finally understand and maybe I should feel happy for you instead.
